Hi, I’m Lida Alvarez. I was born in Spain and graduated from University of La Laguna with a major in Classical Studies and a Master’s degree in Art and Cultural Management.
I worked in Thailand for several years, living in Bangkok and Chiang Mai. At present, I live in an area of peaceful neighborhoods in Elora, Ontario. I work online and enjoy the slower pace of life in Ontario.
I enjoy exploring various spiritual practices, including meditation, zen, and Wicca.
I spend a lot of time meditating, reflecting, thinking, listening, reading, and writing about improving the quality of my life.
I come from a poverty-stricken family. I was sexually abused as a child. Clearly, as you can see, I have gone through some tough times in my life. But no matter how hard life gets, I always remind myself that I am a ‘miracle’.
I am here for a reason. I may not know what that reason is, but I am here nonetheless. I am alive and that is a miracle in and of itself.
I think of life as a game of cards. Sometimes the hand you’re dealt isn’t fair, but you have to play the cards you’re given. Only the actions you take with the hand you are dealt matter in the end.
I’m not saying that you should just accept whatever hand you’re dealt in life, but you should make the best of it. Even when life knocks you down, you should get back up and keep going. That’s what makes life a miracle. It’s not always easy, but it’s always worth it.
It is hard, but it is also beautiful. I choose to focus on the beauty. I choose to see the good in people.
As a spiritual seeker, I always strive to find answers and solutions to the healing, and faith related issues that I am passionate about or that I struggle with. On this blog, I share all the knowledge I have gained over the years regarding these topics.
